Valentine's Day is upon us - again.

           "Love consists in this, that two solitudes protect and touch and greet each other."

                                                 - Rainer Maria Rilke

    In keeping with recent posts, Chatty thought she would treat you to some Valentines that date from around the turn of the last century. (Thanks to Robin Whittle for these images.)

      For those of you who prefer your romance tragic today – and there are some days when we all do – here’s the legend(s) of St. Valentine...and a Valentine entitled "Mending a Broken Heart":

Chatty proposes a toast:

        To those who look for love – may you find it;

        To those who have lost love – may you regain it;

        To those who have found love – may you keep and nurture it always.

   And to the Wiz - thanks for asking five years ago tonight...
