One of our volunteer kitties - after strolling in for the daily chivvying of the chihuahua and subsequent snackfest (which today included the helpful cleaning of a spoon with traces of mayonnaise that The Wiz had left in the sink)

- suddenly settled down for a nice nap on the couch. In the same room with the annoying dog.

    We couldn’t believe it, but The Wiz took pictures - just so we can prove to his parents (and ourselves) that we weren’t dreaming. It’s been three hours, and he’s still here – and apparently he’s all about tolerance, and so is Cleo. For the moment.

    It’s wonderful to see these two great nations four-leggers at peace for a bit.

    Of course, there are reasons for this sudden entente cordiale:

1. It’s raining outside.
2. There’s a new puppy at his house. A very active, curious, playful puppy.

    The peace probably won’t last. *sigh*
