Beaded Cabochons - Part 3
Chatty is happy to have completed two of her cabochon pieces.
She wore one (the unichite) necklace to a party over the weekend, and got good reviews.
This unichite necklace is all one piece – as the necklace is sewn directly to the cabochon.

This Dalmation Jaspar cabochon is a pendant that can be worn on many different necklaces (or even as a brooch):

Like on a pearl choker:

or on the necklace Chatty designed for it:

Any cabochon Chatty designs can be created either way, of course. She has just been experimenting with both types.
Chatty is quite pleased – which is a good thing, because from start to finish, each of these took about 25 hours to create.
If you are wondering as to why these creations take so long, please view the progress reports here and here.

WOW - beautiful! I especially like the first one as those are colors I wear a lot and like. I know the point is kind of the cabachon but I really like the necklaces also!

Very cool--these are the kind of pieces you design your outfit around.

very lovely. the small bead surrounds look great with the stones, as do the necklaces. you have a great eye for color combinations. hard to believe these are your first.
