Tiger Eye and "M" Cabochon

Chatty has completed the tiger eye cabochon, and thinks it came out well. It is a pendant that can be worn on the necklace pictured, or on a choker - or anything else that suits one's fancy. The pendant's loop is an angled length of peyote beads. The necklace is a double strand of Japanese glass beads, irregular tiger eye pieces, and cylindrical tiger eye beads:

Next up, a glass cabochon (initial "M") with a silver over copper bezel. Chatty has laid down the first base layer of beads, and now plans to picot little tiny (real) pearls over them, then surround them with larger (real) pearls. Eventually, there will also be a tassel hanging from the pendant, because she is going for a Victorian effect:

Chatty has encountered a problem, however, because the really tiny pearls have really tiny holes - and even Chatty's thinnest needle won't fit through them *sigh*

So, she has to forage for a size "0" needle - preferably already threaded!

Chatty is stuck on this one until she can get that teensy needle...and very fine thread.

    Please stay tuned...

Wow Each creation is more beautiful than the last. Do you have a site yet where I could look at everything you have done? They are so beautiful. The M circled by small pearls will be stunning and worth the hunt for a tiny tiny needle.

your beadwork is lovely. i like the combinations you chose. would a floss threader like you use to thread dental floss work? i know some people use them for beading, but i'm not sure how small the holes are.

The idea of a floss threader sounds interesting - but where would I find one? Anyone know?

Pat - I am hoping for a website soon. But, The Wiz has to design it, and he's been busy...meanwhile, I continue to post every cabochon as I finish it, and you can just click on the right menu under "beading" to see them all.

I found a tiny tiny needle, and have already started to bead the itsy bitsy pearls in a picot pattern around the cabochon. It's looking nice. Pictures soon!

Thanks for the nice words! I'm not selling yet, but I have hopes! At the moment, I'm trying to make several things so that I can show people the types of things they could buy from me. Samples, you know...and The Wiz will be designing me a website that will be just pictures of my jewelry. Soon, I hope!
