Bitter and Sweet

Well, they call this the “bitter herb” at the Passover feast…

These are never anything but sweet:

And what about "bittersweet"?
It's more than just a variety of chocolate.

What a gift the Wiz has for summing up the lonesome experience of a war. It brought me to tears. Definitely bittersweet.
