Dear Santa

    Greetings!

Well, the letters to Santa are on the table in the front hall, ready to be mailed tomorrow when Chatty lugs the giant package for her cousins to the Post Office, and then stands in line for three hours because "Click and Ship" does not WORK. The wonderful folks at USPS.com have sent two emails apologizing to their "loyal customers" (i.e. anyone who has ever managed to click and ship in the past, which in Chatty's case means twice, last year) for this unfortunate happenstance - but apparently can do nothing to FIX IT. You get all the way through the process - you actually SEE your postage, and then...it won't print. *sigh* One would think that if they could manage to send (presumably) MILLIONS of "oops" emails to former click and shippers like Chatty, they could manage to fix the glitch in their system in the SIX WEEKS they have been emailing to apologize. Chatty's just sayin'...

On a happier note, Chatty has a nice book on tape from the library - which will make standing in line less painful - and (drumroll, please...) Chatty and The Wiz got the tree UP and DECORATED!

Believe it or not, the lights are on in the above photo, but Chatty had the camera set on "smart scene", so it treated the lights like a hideous case of "red eye" and basically deleted them all...

So, here's a picture taken on the "candlelight" setting - the color is all off, but at least you can see that the tree does indeed have lights!

Now, on to more important matters - the letters to Santa!

    Here is Letter #1:

Dear Santa

All I want for Christmas is for Mommy and Daddy to take this horrible thing off my head (although I have to admit it's better than the bandages!) and to get a nice red sweater to cover my big old bald spot...oh, and a nice sleeveless T-shirt for next summer, because Mommy says my big old bald spot will get sunburned...

Love, Cleo

Letter #2:

Dear Santa

All I want is ONE bite out of that darned cat. I promise I'll stop barking if I can just have ONE bite. Really. Would I lie to you, Santa? And, a couple of new chew toys would be nice, too - because that cat won't stay still long enough for me to catch him, much less chew on him...

Love, Toot

Letter #3

Dear Santa

I come over here from next door for a little peace and quiet - but I never get any. All I want for Christmas is for you to take Toot back with you to the North Pole. And, if you have room, you can take the little one, too. With both of them gone, I'll be sleeping on the bed in no time. But, if you can only fit one in your sleigh on the way home, make it Toot!

Love, Dos

Well, back to wrapping Christmas presents!

Well I never, Well, really I have. Such a Cat and Dog FIGHT NITE here at ChattyCrafty. Love the tree. Glad I'm invited to see it in real life. Really, all I wanted to let you know tonight is, WHY ON EARTH COMPLAIN ABOUT THE POST???? Crap, the Post is run by the government and they just gave away all that money to those FRAUDSTER WALL STREETED THIEVES, That's why their web-site isn't working properly, THEY CAN'T AFFORD to keep it operational. RIGHT???? Lick my wallet.

    Love,

    The Beagle

Really, your tree is lovely, Chatty.

Very sweet letters to Santa! I will have to post my Christmas letter next week.

Looking at Cleo's bare spot makes me sad but also glad she is alive and recovering well.

Those were adorable! Poor Cleo. I still can not understand how you handled it all so calm with the "ex" (presumably) dog sitter and "Macho Grande."

I can not believe the now healing, obviously prior gaping hole in the skin and body. Poor Pup.

Santa will be good to Cleo, and the cat, LOL!

I hope Macho Grande gets coal to chew on....not to be mean. But, chewing puppies is naughty, not nice.

Happy Holidays! The tree, the picture and the furniture in the corner are all beautiful!
