Arizona Cardinals are Chatty's kind of birds...
Chatty is basking in reflected glory.
For the first time since 1947 (back when they were the Chicago Cardinals), The Arizona Cardinals hosted a playoff game here in Glendale today.
(Now, we WON a playoff game back in 1998, against the Cowboys - but it was an "away" game - and 10 years is a long long time! Not as long as 62 years, though!)
Today, we not only HOSTED a playoff game - we WON a playoff game. Against some "birds" from Atlanta. The Falcons - not so predatory today!
Chatty just loves Kurt Warner. She loves ALL the Cardinals - but she loves Kurt Warner most. Because, back when she lived in Los Angeles, she remained a Rams fan even when they moved to St. Louis. So, she was a Kurt Warner fan when he was a Ram. She was a Kurt Warner fan when he was a Giant (though that was tougher...). Now, FINALLY, he is the quarterback for her HOME TEAM - and she loves him even more. Kurt and his family live not even 15 minutes away from Chatty - more like 12! Chatty loves this fact.
(Of course, Charles Barkley lives about 20 minutes from Chatty - but that's a whole 'nother story!)
So today, Chatty is basking. We hosted. We won. We get another chance.
It's a good day for Cardinals fans!
It's going to be a great week - because we have 7 more days of happiness and hope!
I LOVE Kurt Warner too!! Gotta love an Iowa boy!! He got his pro-football start playing for the Iowa Barnstormers arena football team here in the Des Moines area! It's great to see him doing so well!!
