Bald spot? What bald spot? Cleo has no bald spot!

For all of those who have emailed or commented, wondering about how Cleo is doing after her attack, Chatty has good news.

Chatty would not dream of showing a picture of Cleo when she was really really bad..but here is a picture of her healing, complete with fetching "anti-lick" collar:

The vet informed us that, because new skin would have to grow to replace what was lost, there would be no hair follicles, and that Cleo would be left with a big bald spot.

Chatty ran out and found Cleo a sweater (which she HATED), and was searching the internet for cute, tiny tank tops for summer.

    But, Cleo had other ideas.

She just kept healing, and grew her hair back.

She didn't want no stinkin' bald spot!!! And the less said about cute tiny tank tops, the better!

So, look, Mommy - no bald spot!

You will be happy to know that Toot is also doing well...

We tell her it's bad for her, but she likes to nap with her head hanging down...and off the couch...

And of course, they still love their food! But now, they have to make an effort to get to it first, because there's a new sheriff in town...

And if you snooze, you lose.

    What happened to  the food?

    Hey! There was food????

Happily, The Wiz always comes through for his little cheeze-luvin' Cardinals fans...

So, there you have it. A happy ending to what started out as a very bad story...

    And, GO CARDINALS!

    Later, alligators...

Thank GOD Cleo is doing much better! I'll tell you, my heart broke in two when I first saw that photo of her...I got all teary eyed and made Wifester come running to see...I swear it looked to me like she had lost a leg. I'm very happy to see she still has all four.

Oh, and can I just make myself a pallet on the floor in front of that wonderfully huge fireplace? I don't make much noise...
