Happy St. Patrick's Day

                                          I'm looking over a four-leaf clover

                                     That I overlooked before
One is for sunshine, the second for rain
The third is for roses that bloom in the lane

No need explaining the one remaining
                                       is somebody I adore
                                   I'm looking over a four-leaf clover
                                   That I overlooked before

But, if four-leaf clovers are few and hard to find, we still have the simple, beautiful, happy shamrocks:

and the Irish blessing we all know and love so well...

May the road rise up to meet you.

May the wind always be at your back.

May the sun shine warm upon your face,

and rains fall soft upon your fields.

                                   And until we meet again,

May God hold you in the palm of His hand.

And, as if shamrocks were not enough - Chatty's first iris bloomed today, taking her completely by surprise!

Chatty has also designed two new necklaces, with the help of another artist, who provided the blown glass pendants:

So, what with Chatty's birthday coming up on the 20th of March - which is the vernal equinox - and all these other harbingers, she figures spring has truly arrived - at least here in Arizona!

Chatty, that's a mighty beautiful IRIS. You may not have known, I'm quite a fan of our wonderful Arizona blossoms. Yesterday I went out with my two-legger to photograph orange blossoms with honeybees. YES, honeybees have returned to the Valley of the Sun. I hope they soon return to the rest of the world. But, I drift from the point at hand. LOVE your IRIS.

    XOXOXOX

Oh, that beautiful iris! Those are my favorite flowers. *happy sigh*
And thank you for starting out my morning with a song. I cannot read those lyrics without singing along!

Your necklaces are beautiful. I especially like the first one.
I wish I lived nearby, so I could take some beading lessons from you. I have a supply of beads (from back when I lived 5 miles away from Shipwreck Beads, the world's largest bead store, oh my!!) but my skills are so limited. Now that I purchased my first pair of reading glasses, I might even be able to see what I'm doing with those tiny beads.

What a great blog--fab photos and verses, plus the necklaces are just lovely!!
Since no doubt your card will be late arriving, please let me be among the first to send Happy Birthday wishes to you. You and your iris are lovely.
